No time to blog

Sorry guys,

It takes a lot to keep up a blog. I'm still going to keep this domain because I may want to blog about something later (I'm sure I will), but as for now, Watch out! Nails in the road! is on hiatus.

Hope my handful of fans aren't too broken up.

New Logo

Here is a much clearer shot of the new banner logo. Looking at this one, it is honestly growing on me. Check the comments for the previous post to see some more of my opinions on the logo.

There is no S on the end of his name, just like there is no S in the middle of Starkville.

New Maroon Helmets

With Greg Byrne and Dan Mullen now being at Mississippi State, it seems we are going back to wearing maroon helmets (the Croom Era ushered in the white helmets).

It features our new, futuristic M-State banner logo. I'm not going to lie, the logo is growing on me. The white logo with silver trim looks pretty slick on the maroon helmet.

BASKETBALL

Last night was a tough night for basketball. We got beat up and down the court by Charlotte all night. Though the game ended 70-64, don't be fooled; we were down by 20+ for most of the second half. We still have a long way to go.

FOOTBALL

Welcome to Starkville, Coach Mullen.

Mullen had a great welcome at the HUMP during halftime last night. Coming to midcourt, proudly ringing a maroon cowbell, and high-fiving students on the way out...he seems pumped, and so am I.

LOGO

Apparently, unknown to me until last night, the University is getting ready to change the M-State banner logo. I'm not exactly sure why (when I know more, I'll post more). Below is a version of the new logo that was sent in an Alumni Association e-mail.

At first, I didn't like it, but it's starting to grow on me. I know it's not that different, but still...I'm a big fan of the M-State banner logo we have now.
